PCBF was founded in 2017 when a group of community members banded together to raise money to post bail to free Black mothers and caregivers who were imprisoned because they could not afford to pay bail. Since then, we've freed 177 Black mamas and caregivers and posted $1.9 million in ransom.
This year we raised $70,584 as of May 12th. We also received $95,000 from National Bail Out. As of May 10th, we've been able to post bail for 11 Black mamas and caregivers for $116,690. We will continue to post bail for Black mamas through the end of June. Help us continue to #freeblackmamas by donating today!

Buy Art and #FreeBlackmamas !!!
Since 2018, PCBF has partnered with the People's Paper Co-op to sell original art made in collaboration with formerly incarcerated women (raising over $225,000 in support of the Black Mama's Bail Out)!
***THIS IS THE FINAL YEAR to get their beautiful prints, shirts, and posters because sadly, after 10 amazing years of organizing, the People's Paper Co-op is closing down. Help give the gift of freedom to a Black mama!
The People’s Paper Co-op is a women led, women focused, women powered art and advocacy project at the Village of Arts and Humanities in North Philadelphia. The PPC looks to women in reentry as the leading criminal justice experts our society needs to hear from and uses art to amplify their stories, dreams, and visions for a more just and free world.
***Art will continue to be on sale to help fund bailouts which will continue through June 12th.
